Raipura Thana police arrested a youth who was carrying illegal weapons and ammunition as a passenger in a bus in Narsingdi. The arrested Hamim Hossain Fahim alias Arif (32) is the son of Mo Salim Hossain of Balihari village of Nesarabad upazila of Pirojpur district. Assistant Superintendent of Police (Raipura Circle) Afsan Al Alam gave this information to reporters through a press conference at Raipura police station premises on Thursday (June 6).

He said, on the basis of secret information yesterday (June 5) at quarter to 2 o'clock Raipura police station under the leadership of police station sub-inspector Md. Rakibul Islam along with the Sangeet Force conducted an operation in the Mahmudabad Tanpara area of ​​the Dhaka-Sylhet highway. At that time Hamim Hussain Fahim alias Arif who was a passenger inside a bus of Naomi Paribahan Service was arrested. At this time, the inside of the bag with him is state-of-the-art Automatic weapon AK-22 rifle, 1 bag with 16 rounds and 2 magazines, 3 mobile phones, 2 SIM cards and 10 thousand 20 taka city money recovered. He also said that the bus with the recovered goods was seized at the police station.

Arrested Arif provided important information during preliminary interrogation. It is being scrutinized for the sake of investigation. Raipura case in this regard is in the process of being sent to the learned court under police watch after regular case is filed.
