A young man was hacked to death in Narail's Kaliya

There have been reports of murders in Kalabaria union and village of Kalia upazila in Narail. The murder happened after Friday evening. The deceased Anis Sheikh (35) is the son of Musaref Sheikh of Kalabaria village of the upazila. Upazila's Naragati police station is on the spot. For now, the situation is calm. According to local sources, Anis was hacked and seriously injured by miscreants from the Charkandipara brick kiln of Kalabaria Union in Uplej in the evening. Later he was rescued and taken to Terkhada Upazila Health Complex in neighboring Khulna district where he died. In the last five years, at least 17 people including Katai Sheikh, Kazum Sikdar, Tarikul have died in Kalabaria village of the upazila. Confirming the murder, the officer-in-charge of Naragati police station said, "The murder was done because of the spread of dominance." Police have been deployed in the area. The situation is calm.
